"You are what you are and where you are because of what has gone into your mind. You can change what you are and where you are by changing what goes into your mind."
~zig ziglar

I decided to be set free this week.....lol. My idea was to use a big brush and not take more than thirty minutes on each of these.....well....the shoe may have taken longer but that was because I changed the background multiple times. Anyway.... I got out of my head for a change and it was a very pleasant vacation....lol. I need to start painting in this way more often. My next goal is to do one of my girls with a big brush and just go!!

Oh yes! You are now a shoes designer named Manon Bhlanik? Really though, the shape of that foot in the shoe is very sexy. Hmn, do I have a foot or shoe fetish?

What's with the scratch marks on the gesso board. Did you get itchy and just started scratching?

Do you ever run out of ideas?

Okay, have a very lovely evening. I am in and out and out and in cleaning vacuuming drawing and now I must hang some matted nuts. I mean framed acorn drawings.

Like the paintings and the idea of doing them as you did. It is so easy to get caught up in making art a project, rather than a release.

Hya Manon less than thirty mins - you are a speed freak :)

Oh but it's true, the faster we paint the more we tap our heartemotions and not our headsbrainsego

me I just paint fast because I am greedy (not money but time greedy) and impatient :)

Manon!!! Tis me! Oh how I love the two-4! teehee. I can see by your paintings that you are doing very, very well. Have you been out here in the desert lately? I would take great delight in meeting you for lunch again. School will be out soon. Oh, just read Ces' comment. How did her nuts get matted? Sounds painful. Also sounds like the old days with Renee. **kisskiss** Deb

Manon,

I agree, all three of these pieces are great! It's good to shake things up once I while, as it normally brings out something that has been stuck. You are on the right path after a much needed vacation!

Have a great week,
Brian

Hey, M - big brushes suit you! I really like the freedom of these pieces, they feel like the painting equivalent of messing up your hair and keeping it that way because it looks great that way!

oh one for you and one for me!!! perfect!!!!

Aaaaaah, these paintings are so liberating and free! Holy moly, I love the colors on that shoe painting! I would spend at LEAST 30 mins just staring at the blank page. You rock!

Hey, Andrew!! So many paintings I think too much about. I wanted to be a speed demon for sure on these!!

You should try it, Sherry!!
